This is lifted directly from my personal blog... Haha. And these are stupid stuff my friends and I talked when we went to Melaka for a weekend holiday... bunked in my friend's house for two nights.

Decided to post it here too coz' it's pretty funny and it's a warning to what calculus does to poor innocent minds! LOL. =)

My diet officially went to la la land when Yoke Peng brought in the container of butter cookies to Subby's room that day.

My diet stayed in la la land when I stepped in the land of Malacca. First things we ate were compliments of Mei Yueh's mom (Mei Yueh is our awesome and gracious host in Malacca these three days- without her I won't be blogging, coz this is her PC I'm typing on, hahaha), absolutely unique and delicious "tong sui", then came the sate celup, the chicken rice ball, the durian cendol, the pizza hut, the Portuguese food... I think I've gained whatever weight I lost playing frisbee and jogging and badminton, and MORE!

Well, that is not really what I want to say today. I have a feeling there will be many parts to this trip, so be patient while I upload all the photos (might take up to a week, haha). But for this Part 1... I will be talking about...

INTERESTING QUOTES

these are overstressed calculus students... so beware! excessive calculus causes problems to the human brain!
these are actually brilliant students~ sarcastic and witty, not bimbotic (Yilingpersuaded me to type this XD)

So... fire away?

Day 1

On a double decker bus that is to bring us to Malacca... We climbed aboard the second 'storey'... and the jakun girl...
Jia Mun: I feel so tall.

In the bus, feeling like we want to talk...
Yiling: It's women's natural instinct to talk, because we like to hear the sound of our own voices.

But don't know what to talk...
Yiling: We should write interesting titles down on slips of paper and put them in a hat, then when we don't know what to talk, we draw them out.

And suddenly...
Yiling: Elizabeth, I want 3 dozen pens. Two blue, one black.
Jia Mun aka Liz: *speechless* First Uma wants two dozen, now you three? My dad will say my friends are crazy!
Yiling: The pens in US are not nice and expensive. So I'm bringing them there. You should be the distributor of these Japanese (and cannot be found in US) pens there. Sell to the Malaysian students, have 'agents' where there are lots of Malaysians, in Michigan, in RIT, in Stevens... Then introduce it to the Americans- and they'll fall in love with it, then you'll have an empire!
Liz: Interesting. Pen empire.
Yiling: We hatch a masterplan to take over the world- by selling pens.
Liz: Get a petition signed, then I can write a letter to G'Soft to ask to be their distributor in US.
(Oh, we are talking about G'Soft 787 pens, very nice to use, fine nib 0.38mm. Any orders? Call me if you need any. My empire needs working on XD)

Upon reaching the house....
Mei Yueh: This is my house
Yiling: Yes Mei Yueh, I know you wouldn't bring us to a stranger's house. *sarcasm*

~While chatting, eating tong sui... many interesting quotes appeared.

On psychology (one of the courses in Summer 2008 ATU 14 schedule.. that I'm not taking XD)
Mei Yueh: Dunno what Bio Bio stuff they talk. This hipothalamus, thalamus...
Uma: I know! I know! Hipothalamus is in the brain!
Everyone: Waaaaaaa...... *we are enlightened! lol*

On being fascinated... Since I was jakun, being fascinated by Mei Yueh's house. But it's really nice! Antique-feel, yet homey, utilizing like every square inch of the place and yet not cluttered... and the lights and fans are really really cool! =)
Liz: *looking around like a little girl fascinated while eating tong sui*
Yiling: Yes Elizabeth, are you fascinated by anything else?

On when soon after that Yiling stares at her her fruit...
Uma: Why are you srutinizing the fruit like that, Yiling? Are you fascinated by it? *teasing*

On a ringing phone...
Yiling: I want to check my phone. Everybody... freeze!

On mirrors
Liz: I am so happy, the mirrors came! Now got big mirror in my locker...
Subby: Yeah. We didn't have mirrors in the lockers before, though.
Yiling: You didn't?
Mei Yueh: We had no mirrors. Complained since first semester...
Uma: I feel so blessed.

On birds
Yiling: The birds always hit the glass panels in my house because they thought there is nothing there.
Shearon: You should put a sign "Be careful, it's a mirror'. *in all seriousness*

On chickens dying on Yiling's home doorsteps
Subby: It might have committed suicide.
Yiling: Aaah. I guess the hen wanted another rooster so this one decided to die.
Uma: That's why I say... these chickens. *shakes head regretfully*

On hair... the effects of a multiracial country
(reenaction of previous conversation)
Uma: Ma is my hair wavy or curly?
Ma: For Chinese, they will say curly coz' their hair is stick straight. For Indians, it's wavy, coz' it's as good as Maggi Mee.
Subby: But I think your hair is wavy. Curly is like Maggi Mee

On hair...Rapunzel's hair
Mei Yueh: How can Prince Charming like Rapunzel? Hair is so long that it cannot be washed properly, so smelly.
Yiling: Maybe she used perfume.
Uma: Do they have perfume then?
Yiling: Rose water. She sprinkled rose water.
Mei Yueh: She used Febreeze.
Uma: Last time got Febreeze ah?
Yiling: It's a fairytale. Does it even have a time setting?

After laughing while reading the quotes I jotted down...
Mei Yueh: Those quotes sounds, like from intelligent to bimbotic, very intelligent to very bimbotic.
Uma: This is a far cry from Calculus.
Yiling: This is what Calculus does to you.

~That night, chatting... in the room...

On a book, a laptop, and a boy
Subby: Who has 'A Thousand Splendid Suns'?
Liz: Michael.
Uma: Who's Michael?
Yiling: The one with the HP Pavilion laptop.
Uma: Oh yes Yiling, I go around scrutinizing people's laptops. *sarcasm*

On fashion
Liz: I guess none of you will be able to tell my dress style.
Uma: We have to go back to Teluk Intan and see.
Liz: Back in Teluk Intan, you will see me in nothing but t-shirts and pants.
All: Why?
Liz: I have a reputation.

Day 2 (few quotes coz I didn't jot down most- we went traversing Malacca town and shopping)

On birds... pigeons this time
Mei Yueh: There's lots of pigeons in Malacca. When they *censored, this is a family friendly site, kindly extrapolate yourself XD*, the tourists complain.
Shearon: They (pigeons) should pay fee to enter Malacca then.
Mei Yueh: Then how do they know they need to pay?
Shearon: Put a sign there saying "For Rent".

On... black and white
Uma: I am going to be black and white.
Yiling: Michael Jackson wouldn't care.
Uma: It's not like I will meet him so it doesn't matter. I don't care.
Yiling: Do you even know what I mean?
Uma: Yea. Michael Jackson is black and white.
Yiling: No, I am talking about his song "Black or White"
Uma: Oh? What song?
Yiling: *sings*... it doesn't matter if you're black or white...
Uma: Oh. That song.

On feet
Liz: My feet are cracked. Oh my god, my feet are so cracked. MY FEET ARE CRACKED!
Yiling: Then what do you want me to do??
Liz: Offer your condolences.
Yiling: My condolences.

At night, while blogging... (this is like, 30 minutes ago)
Mei Yueh: *offering food* This is very nice. But I don't know how long you have to jog it off.
Liz: *takes food* (monolog dalaman- diet go lala land long time already....hahaha)

Feeling sleepy studying psychology

Mei Yueh: I have to wake up somemore tomorrow.
Liz: Okay... So I don't need to? Cool. XD

And finally, the classic...
Yiling: *skims the rough draft of jotted quotes* Why so many Yiling's quotes?
Liz: You have interesting quotes.
Mei Yueh: You are a very quotable person.
Yiling: I knew I was destined for greatness.

Note: To quote Mei Yueh, ADFPians say the darnest things. And no, this is not a measure of our stupidity. Neither are we overtly bimbotic. Just humor and laughing makes you lose weight and be healthier, according to Yuin Yi.
So laugh more, and say more funny things! =D

PS- Juniors, beware of the negative side effects of excessive calculus! XD

Yup - my dear TI friends. Beware the monster of Calculus!

Cemara..

Cemara..

A place that i have lived for 9 months..o less..I'm missing the place called cemara, the place which i don't really like when im still staying there..But now i miss that place where u can go anywhere you like n do whatever you want. (Shopping complexes and sports) Although i don't quite do sports but since my friends there love sports so sometimes i will play basketball or badminton with them. But now i don't have the chance to meet up with them and play basketball like always..We lived separated now not like in cemara. We lived just next door. Our neighbours are the 4 girls whose room is very dirty. I think their room can get the titte for the most dirty and messy room if there is a competition for the dirtiest room or the messiest room. Hahaha

But their room is 1 of the place that i visited the most when im in cemara that time. Sometimes i will go there and chat wit mu niu about her opinion on everything from study and to love life. She's like a mother and gives opinion to you.

And there's always Dena who will do something weird or stupid and you will laugh out loud when you see her. She's always energetic but when she's studying she won't make a sound and therefore you will feel weird. Because you cannot hear her laughing. Her laughter can make a building shake and the glass to shatter. So i think you can imagine how loud her voice is.

The opposite of Dena is Anna, she talk a little but when she's interested in you then she will talk a lot with you for a few hours. I'm surprise how to talk with some1 for a few hours at night.

And there's Amy. A girl who seems to know a lot. Good in english and sports. Always our 'tai ka che' and help us in anyway that she can.

And in our room, there's my roomate, Ching Ern. A good girl who always keep everything inside. And she's a very disipline person. She even have a timetable for her diet plan. She's the person that will do what she has said. She wents to swim after i heard she said she wants to swim a few days ago and the most important is she went there alone without any friend. 'pei fu' I don't think i will do it.

Now, the person who loves mirrow so much. She's Michelle. The 1 who got many admirers. Thanks to her we got to eat Baskin Robbins for free. Haha.. She loves mirrow and she's good in socialising and therefore many guys fall for him. But she only give her heart to Ande****.. I think you all know who so i don't have to write his name.

Last but not least, Noi Tian. Who is mad about Dong Bang Shin Ki and hero. I think her hero is LTTJ. hehehe... It's so romantic to walk wit your LTTJ in Boramae Gong Won right? And there's a lot of flowers blooming there...Hahaha... Flowers blooming season, spring is a good season to have a date with someone you like and we know it.

May Yee...She's like a tai ka che oso but in a different way. She will tell you not to eat something that is not good for your health and she will ask you to go exercise with her. She is qualified to be a nutritionist.

Kooi Chen...She's so smart and she's cute. She will tell you that you are beautiful or you are cute whenever she wants it. And you can answer her back saying, "you are cuter". Hahaha.. That's what i always did.

Lee Hong-A very far neighbour. A girly person who talks softly and not like me. She used to stick with Noi Tian and stay at our room on weekends. And in the midnight she will float back to her room in another block.

These are my friends who stayed in cemara with me for the past 9 months. Actually that im in a foreign country i do miss malaysia and it's food. You guys who are still in malaysia have to appreciate it before you lose it.
