In order to know my blood type

It's raining 2day and i did not brought umbrelle with me so, soo hean, noi tian and me went to the place where u can listen to the classic music where u can drift to sleep. So we went there since we cant go back to our hostel. Then, i went to asked something about the eye drop that i bought in a specs shop in my uni. After that, something cought my eyes, and i see briefly scanned through the poster. It's stated there that blood donation can save 1 life. Hmm.. The phrase sounds interesting to me, so i went to this blood donation place.

I stood in front of the place for a while, and i looked at the brochures that pasted on the wall, stating that those who had malaria have to wait for 2 years afetr recovery to donate blood. I saw a girl and a woman working there, and the woman saw me standing there. But then, i walked away and went into the toilet. I'm still wavering whether to do it or not. Finally i've made my decision that is to do it. I think it's a fast process so those who still in that music hall can wait for me there.

So, i went into that place and the woman came and greet me. She asked is it my 1st time donating blood and i said yes. She did not ask me where i came from so, i must look like a Korean..Heheee.. I told her that i'm from Malaysia and she was surprised why i did not wear HIjab and i said i'm a Malaysian Chinese. A man was sitting there after blood donation and he looked at me strangely, but i ignored him. I have to complete a form and the form contained all the info about my health condition and where i have been to. After that i went into a small room and that woman asked me which state im from because she wanted to check whether im from the place with malaria possibility. I told her it's Perak but she thought it's Penang. Finally all the process was done and, she pricked my finger. She took some of my blood and did some experiment. She told me my blood type is A . I know my blood type finally...

And here comes the scary part. She said i can donate blood now since im free of malaria. I'm scared now. That girl asked me to lie down and searched for my blood vessel of my left hand, but she cant find it so she switched to the right hand. She found it rather quickly because it's difficult to find it everytime when i did my medical checkup. She rubbed my hand with 2 pieces of cotton and i saw the big needle. It's scary to look at the needle. It's BIG and THICK. Ok.. If i want to go out now i still can do it but i decided to stay. I asked the girl is it painful when the needle go into my flesh, and she answered a bit. Hmm.. she must be lying from what i saw from her face.

She asked me to look away when she inserted the needle. It's a bit painful, so it's still bearable for me. I saw my blood oozing out to fill the blood packet. I donated 320 ml of blood 2day. im proud of myself. I chose to have an umbrella for my free gift fo danating blood, and i can use it when i go home. I got to eat choco pie and drank arange juice after that. I did not felt dizzy or anything after donating blood, and this prove that i'm very healthy..ㅋㅋㅋ

The girl gave me a box of biscuit to bring back, and they said i'm brave.. It's happy that i can save a person with my blood and on top of that i got a free umbrella to go home. ^_^
